Site was originally created using a basic Front Page template with a bare minimum of information, mostly a "contact us" type of site.

In redesigning the site, I wanted to create a useful set of "tools" that could be used to enhance and expedite the correspondence between the Association and its Members with additional support for releasing "time-oriented" information to the Media.

Previously, to get information to the members, documents had to be emailed, faxed, or mailed to each member, resulting in quite a bit of time spent in the actual distribution process. The new website allows an administrator from IEP to upload documents to the website, designating when, where, and to whom the documents were to be displayed. Documents could be placed in private, password protected areas, be set to appear on the website at a specific time (useful for synchronizing with press releases), and could be preset to "disappear" from the site on a specific date. Some locations would also automatically move documents to an "archive" status to keep from cluttering the main sections with old documents, while still allowing access through an "archived documents" link.

The final result has seen a great reduction in the amount of time needed to communicate to members, and the members themselves have given very positive feedback on the increased ease and functionality of the new website.
